In connection with the Hong Song Companies

Amendment Ordinance, we are suggesting for

consideration the appointment of an Examiner of Banks,

It occurs to me that you may like to see an interim

report we have received from Palestine of the

operation of the Palestine Banking (Amendment and

Further Provisions) Ordinance, 1937 in case it may be

of any use to you in the consideration of the

appointment suggested. As the enclosure has

necessitated considerable copying I have not had the

Banking Statistics Bulletin copied but if you are

interested I will obtain copies.
